We’re looking for a 1st Line Global Risk Manager to join our Gallagher Re team in London or Ipswich! In this role, you’ll help us manage risks, ensure compliance, and build a strong risk culture across our organisation. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring we meet regulatory requirements and maintain high standards.

- Identify and assess risks across the business, ensuring they align with our risk framework.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce risks and improve controls.
- Monitor and report on key risks, trends, and mitigation efforts to senior management.
- Collaborate with teams to promote a strong risk culture and provide training on risk management.
- Support investigations into risk events and ensure lessons are learned.
- Help with risk management during mergers, acquisitions, and integrations.
- Design processes to identify and evaluate emerging risks and trends.
- Work with second‑line risk and compliance teams to ensure consistency and alignment.
- You have experience in risk management, compliance, or a similar field within the reinsurance, insurance or financial services industries.
- You’re a great communicator and can work well with people at all levels.
- You’re proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- You’re passionate about fostering a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement.
- You’re comfortable working in a fast‑paced, global environment.
