Workforce Labour Manager
Our client are responsible for preparing the foundations of the entire Sizewell C site: designing and constructing cut‑off walls, retaining structures, soil improvements and more. Using advanced geotechnical engineering and world‑class construction technologies, this is a rare opportunity to contribute to a national project that will shape the UK’s clean‑energy future.
The RoleAs a Workforce Manager, you will oversee the allocation, coordination, and performance of frontline workers for the project, ensuring efficient workforce deployment, effective stakeholder communication, and timely recruitment of labour.
What You’ll Be Doing- Coordinate the allocation and deployment of frontline workers to meet operational demands
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Workforce Managers and operational teams across all business units
- Monitor and analyse workforce performance and productivity, implementing improvements where required
- Support talent development through mentoring and identifying high-potential individuals
- Lead performance management processes, including conducting investigations and disciplinary actions
- Provide expert guidance on disciplinary matters, ensuring compliance with policies relating to attendance, timekeeping, and workforce conduct
- Support payroll processes, including the review and approval of weekly timesheets in collaboration with the Workforce Resource Manager
- Manage end-to-end recruitment of frontline workers, including sourcing agency labour
- Produce regular workforce performance reports and contribute to future workforce forecasting across the project
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CIJC WRA agreements, updates, and industry changes
- Continuously review and improve workforce coordination processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensure clear, consistent communication between operational teams and key stakeholders
- Strong communicator and relationship builder
- Construction or major infrastructure experience
- Works positively within teams and the ability to work autonomously
- The ability to recognise, promote, encourage and develop talent for future leadership roles
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills
- Excellent time management
- Understanding and awareness of HR
- Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, Power Point
- Shows drive, ambition and initiative
