Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
We are currently recruiting an experienced Mobile Plant Operator to join a busy waste and recycling operation in Great Blakenham.
This is a hands‑on role operating a range of mobile plant machinery including Loading Shovel and 360 Grab (Selector Grab), supporting daily site operations and ensuring materials are processed safely and efficiently.
You will play a key role in maintaining site flow, operating machinery, and ensuring all materials are handled in line with strict health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Loading Shovel and 360 Grab (Selector Grab) safely and efficiently
- Load curtain-sided vehicles using teletruck equipment
- Load articulated lorries using loading shovel
- Feed baler and support processing operations using 360 grab
- Move, sort, and manage waste materials across site
- Control traffic within tipping hall and operational areas
- Inspect and sort incoming waste materials
- Ensure finished materials are stored safely and correctly
- Carry out machine checks and basic maintenance
- Ensure accurate weighbridge and system recording (manual or electronic)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Experience operating Loading Shovel and 360 Grab (essential)
- Valid plant tickets (in-house training may be considered)
- Experience in waste, recycling, or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced operational setting
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑focused attitude
- £14.30 per hour
- Monday to Friday daytime shifts
