Purchasing Assistant

Temporary Purchasing Assistant – Ipswich – Temporary (possibly permanent), 15 days / £29,000–30,000, immediate start. This role is part of a manufacturing team.

• Raise and process purchase orders for materials, components and supplies.
• Sourcing and comparing supplier quotes to secure best value.
• Monitor stock requirements in line with production schedules.
• Chase deliveries and keep operations on track.
• Resolve supply or invoice issues quickly in support of the wider team.
• Update ERP systems with accurate and up‑to‑date information.
• Support stock control and monitor supplier performance.

• Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain or admin.
• Exposure to manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Confident using ERP/MRP systems;
  Oracle knowledge a bonus.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Great attention to detail and highly organised.
• Proactive, can‑do attitude with excellent communication skills.
