Manufacturing ​/ Production Operative, Operations Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:

To operate the asphalt plant and mobile plant to ensure the production of material in accordance with specified standards and customer order requirements.

• Operate the asphalt plant in accordance with production schedules and Eurovia Roadstone’s quality standards.
• Monitor, control and adjust plant settings to ensure consistent production and compliance with mix specifications.
• Carry out daily plant inspections and ensure all equipment is maintained to safe operating standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning and basic repairs in line with planned maintenance schedules.
• Load and manage incoming raw materials.
• Maintain accurate production and stock records, ensuring traceability and compliance with company systems.
• Liaise with the Quality Control team to ensure that all mixes meet technical and customer requirements.
• Promote and adhere to Eurovia Roadstone’s health, safety and environmental standards, reporting any incidents or near misses immediately.
• Support the continuous improvement of site operations and contribute to a positive, team‑oriented work environment.
• Undertake other site duties as required, including mobile plant operation if appropriately trained.

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Experience in fixed‑plant process operations and mobile plant operations.
• Knowledge of asphalt materials and product specifications.
• Strong time‑management skills and flexibility.
• Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental responsibilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

Hours:

Full time – 47.5 hours per week with variable shift pattern.
