Hours:

Monday to Friday, 07:00-15:30 (40 hours per week) - Enjoy your afternoons with an early 3:30pm finish every day!
Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour (Weekly Pay)

Contract:

Permanent (following a successful 3-month probation)

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Assembler looking for a company where you're more than just a number?

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run engineering business in Ipswich that has been manufacturing high-quality equipment for almost 40 years. Whether you're already experienced with hydraulic systems or have a strong mechanical assembly background and want to develop your skills further, this could be the perfect next step.

What you'll be doing:

Assembling hydraulic equipment and mechanical components
Cleaning and preparing parts before assembly
Testing finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
Reading and interpreting engineering (CAD) drawings
Building heavy plant equipment used within the construction industry
Supporting other areas of the workshop when required

What we're looking for:

Previous experience in mechanical fitting or mechanical assembly
A good understanding of hydraulic systems (preferred but not essential)
Ability to confidently read engineering drawings
Pride in producing high-quality work with excellent attention to detail
A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider team
