Fermentation Operator
- We're currently recruiting for a Fermentation Operator to join our client based on the outskirts of Ipswich, Suffolk on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within manufacturing. The role will initially be a fixed term position for up to 12 months and for the right candidate the possibility to go permanent!

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Fermentation Day Operator to take control of delegated operational tasks in fermentation and related upstream processes. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that fermentation and culture trains are maintained to the highest standard, managing cream loading, and providing operational support in upstream activities. Your tasks will involve a hands-on approach, from preparing fermentation batches to interacting with tanker drivers, ensuring all processes are completed on time, and maintaining detailed records.

This is a temporary role for up to 12 months and could go permanent. This is a full-time role, initially will be Monday
- Friday 05.45am - 2.15pm. The role will be move to a full shift rota (2 days, 2 nights, 6 off and 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off during 2 x 18-day break cover). The starting pay rate is £16.25 per hour . Requirements:
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of proven experience in manufacturing , ideally within the food and beverage industry. You will have the ability to perform root cause analysis. You'll need a solid understanding of industry standard equipment and technical expertise, proven record of problem-solving ability and literate in English at B2 level. You will bring understanding of safety, quality and environmental processes with operations environment.
