We’re looking for a Marketing & Events Assistant to join our team based in Ipswich. You’ll work within Scrutton Bland, one of our leading regional businesses, while being employed by Sumer, the UK’s fastest growing accountancy firm. You’ll work in a close‑knit, collaborative local team whilst having the opportunity to connect, learn and grow within a wider marketing community.

You’ll play a key role in supporting marketing, communications and events activity across Scrutton Bland. From content creation to event coordination, you’ll be at the heart of our marketing efforts.

Content & Communications

• Write engaging social media content and supporting daily posting activity
• Creating internal and external communications via Dot Digital and Interact
• Assisting with monthly newsletter creation
• Producing video content on a monthly basis
• Updating and maintaining website content (Word Press)

Events & Campaigns

• Coordinating firm‑wide events and webinars alongside the team
• Supporting and, over time, leading smaller events such as business forums, with the opportunity to take full ownership
• Liaising with third‑party suppliers (photographers, merchandise providers, etc.)
• Support wellbeing initiatives from a communications perspective

Reporting & Insights

• Monitoring and reporting on marketing and social media campaign performance
• Producing monthly and quarterly performance packs

• Prior marketing experience is desirable, but not essential
• You will have strong written communication skills
• Confident using social media platforms in a professional setting
• Organised and enjoy juggling multiple projects
• Proactive and happy to take ownership of tasks

• Be enthusiastic, creative, and have a willingness to grow

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must hold a valid driving licence and be able to travel independently to events and meetings.
