Community Engagement team and all departments within the organisation.

Role Overview

Ipswich Town Foundation is seeking to recruit a Community Engagement Manager, to lead our health and wellbeing portfolio, managing a range of programmes that support participants to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

The postholder will be a member of the Management Group at the Foundation and will manage a multi-disciplinary team focusing on delivering impactful community programmes and initiatives to improve health outcomes for groups and individuals in Suffolk through the power of Ipswich Town Football Club.

The successful candidate will be passionate about improving lives and champion innovation and best practice to ensure the Foundation is a leading force for social change in the health space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, delivery and development of the Foundation’s health and wellbeing programmes.
  • Manage projects focused on mental health, physical activity and wider health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Manage programme budgets and adhere to funders’ requirements.
  • Monitor programme performance against agreed targets, KPIs and outcomes.
  • Identify funding opportunities and contribute towards the writing of funding bids and applications.
  • Identify barriers to engagement and develop inclusive approaches to underrepresented demographics.
  • Actively contribute to Management Group meetings.
  • Line manage Health & Wellbeing Coach and Oral Health Project Officer, along with programme staff.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development of mental health programmes across the Foundation.
  • Ensure staff and delivery teams are equipped to support participants appropriately and safely.
  • Maintain knowledge of current best practice, policy developments and research relating to mental health and wellbeing.
  • Champion positive mental health across the organisation and wider community.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build, maintain and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Premier League Foundation, Suffolk & Norfolk Integrated Care Board, social prescribing teams, mental health services and local authorities.
  • Represent the Foundation at partnership meetings, forums and networking events.
  • Identify opportunities for collaborative working to maximise impact and sustainability.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
  • Working closely with the Head of Insight, Impact & Development to ensure robust data collection, impact measurement and reporting processes are in place.
  • Produce reports for funders, partners and Senior Leadership.
  • Use participant feedback and evaluation findings to continuously improve programmes.
Funding & Sustainability
  • Support funding applications for programmes.
  • Contribute to the development of new projects and other income generation opportunities.
  • Ensure contractual obligations and funder requirements are met.
Safeguarding & Compliance
  • Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, equality, diversity and inclusion.
