Sales Advisor - Ipswich – Wolseley Plumb Centre

As a Sales Advisor based in Ipswich you’ll be responsible for:

  • Assisting customers at the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing product recommendations whilst cross selling and up-selling.
  • Dealing with customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
  • Making phone calls to lapsed customers to regain their business.
  • Speaking to suppliers to get costings for items.
  • Completing general warehouse duties, including goods in and picking and packing customers orders for delivery or collection.
  • Ensuring merchandising displays in the branch are to a high standard.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm along with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 8am - 12noon paid as time in lieu.

And here’s what we’d like you to have:

  • Previous industry experience would be ideal but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and step up to run the branch in the Branch Managers absence
  • Confidence interacting with customers and suppliers to build effective relationships
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for this role as there may be some occasional/relief driving
