Senior Social Workers – Adult Social Care
Job Details
- Locations:
West Suffolk House, Bury St Edmunds (IP33 3YU
);
Kingsfield Centre, Stowmarket (IP14 1SZ

Endeavour House, Ipswich (IP1 2BX
) - Salary: £41,502 – £47,054 per annum (pro‑rated for part‑time), plus retention payments of £1,000, £1,500 and £2,000 for 2, 3 and 5 years of service respectively

37.5 hours per week (full time) or part‑time equivalent - Posting locations: various throughout Suffolk
Responsibilities
- Manage own complex caseload of vulnerable adults, providing specialist advocacy and safeguarding support
- Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues, including newly qualified and experienced team members
- Contribute to the development and improvement of practice standards and policies
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies and voluntary services to deliver improved outcomes
- Make clear, informed decisions, highlighting and limiting potential risks associated with intervention
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified and registered social worker with completed Assessment and Supported Employment Year
- Evidence of at least 2 years of continued professional development in line with current professional standards
- In‑depth understanding of the financial implications of commissioned care packages
- Valid driving licence and access to personal transport
- Strong knowledge of current legislation, regulations and guidance applicable to adult social care
