Senior Social Workers – Adult Social Care

  • Salary: £41,502 – £47,054 per annum (pro‑rated for part‑time), plus retention payments of £1,000, £1,500 and £2,000 for 2, 3 and 5 years of service respectively
  • Hours:

    Full time or part time (flexible)
  • Contract:

    Various contracts available
  • Working hours:

    37.5 hours per week (full time) or part‑time equivalent
  • Posting locations: various throughout Suffolk

Responsibilities

  • Manage own complex caseload of vulnerable adults, providing specialist advocacy and safeguarding support
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues, including newly qualified and experienced team members
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of practice standards and policies
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with partner agencies and voluntary services to deliver improved outcomes
  • Make clear, informed decisions, highlighting and limiting potential risks associated with intervention

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified and registered social worker with completed Assessment and Supported Employment Year
  • Evidence of at least 2 years of continued professional development in line with current professional standards
  • In‑depth understanding of the financial implications of commissioned care packages
  • Valid driving licence and access to personal transport
  • Strong knowledge of current legislation, regulations and guidance applicable to adult social care
