Network Test Automation Engineer

Our client, a leading global technology consultancy, is looking for an experienced Network Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise across Network Testing, Robot Framework, Python and Git Lab CI/CD.

You will be responsible for validating networking products and services, building automated test solutions and integrating testing into CI/CD environments.

Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop and execute test plans and test cases for networking applications and platforms.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework and Python.
Validate network protocols, configurations and end-to-end connectivity.
Integrate automated test suites into Git Lab CI/CD pipelines.
Perform functional, regression, system, integration and performance testing.
Analyse test results and troubleshoot failures.
Work closely with Development, Dev Ops and Infrastructure teams.
Support automated testing across release and deployment cycles.
Produce test reports, defect analysis and quality metrics.
Contribute to test framework improvements and automation best practices.

Skills & Experiences

Strong commercial experience in Network Testing.
Hands-on knowledge of:
TCP/IP
UDP
DNS
DHCP
VLAN
VPN
Routing & Switching

Experience with BGP and/or OSPF would be advantageous.
Strong experience with Robot Framework.
Programming and scripting experience using Python.

Experience with Selenium would be beneficial.

Experience with Git Lab CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
Good knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.

Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
