Sports Development Co-ordinator

• Salary: starting £15,840 per annum, £13.50 per hour
• Hours: 22.5 hours per week
• Contract: Fixed term for one year from April 2026

Activ Lives is a well‑established local charity in Suffolk, dedicated to enriching the lives of older people by promoting active lifestyles and meaningful social connections. For 20 years, we have championed independence and wellbeing, delivering a wide range of activities across a variety of community venues. These include community gardening, Men’s Shed, falls‑prevention exercise, community singing, specialist hubs and inclusive sport activities.

Our work empowers older adults to remain physically active, socially connected and independent.

We are now seeking an inspirational Sports Development Co‑ordinator (Activ Sport Development Co‑ordinator) to develop and grow our inclusive sport offer and encourage more older adults to take part in our Activ Sport programme. This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified and motivating fitness professional who is passionate about supporting older people and making a real difference in their community.

In this role, you will:

• bring inclusive sport to life for older adults, helping them rediscover strength, confidence and connection
• deliver engaging, enjoyable sessions where participants can take part at their own pace
• support and coordinate freelance instructors to ensure high‑quality, inclusive activities
• create welcoming, social environments where people feel comfortable, make new friendships and enjoy being active.
