Freight Operations Specialist - Imports & Exports (Air, Sea & Road Freight)
Freight Forwarder – Felixstowe Area
Operations Split
80% Import & Export Sea Freight Operations
20% Air & Road Operations
* Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum

Join a growing and dynamic team at a leading logistics company with a strong presence in ocean freight and expanding operations across road and air. With a current team of six and exciting growth plans, our client is looking for a Multimodal Freight Operations Specialist, to support their busy freight forwarding operation in the Felixstowe, Suffolk area. Ocean/Sea Freight experience is essential with custom entries.
The Role:
This is a hands-on role focusing primarily on ocean freight (80%), with additional involvement in road and air freight. You’ll be coordinating import and export shipments, working closely with clients and carriers, and ensuring seamless logistics operations from start to finish (including Custom Entries).
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage sea, air, and road freight shipments from booking through to delivery
* Prepare and process shipping and customs documentation (B/Ls, AWBs, entries)
* Experience using Cargowise Software would be beneficial
* Liaise with overseas agents, clients, and hauliers
* Track shipments and resolve any transport or customs issues proactively
* Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships
What Our Client is Looking For:
* Experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations is essential with an emphasis on Ocean Freight Shipments.
* A-Z in CDS Custom Entries.
* A driving licence is preferred purely for ease of commuting to the office.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A proactive team player with attention to detail
