HGV Driver

HGV Driver – Spider is advertising on behalf of CS Courier Transport Ltd, an established Ipswich-based logistics company seeking two experienced HGV Drivers to join their team, based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Opportunities are available on a self-employed or permanent contract basis, with pay dependent on the arrangement.

* Salary:
Approximately £54,600–£59,800 per annum, based on a day rate of £210–£230, depending on contract arrangement and days worked (Saturdays paid at day rate of £260).

* Hours:

Approximately 11 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work

About the role:

As an HGV Driver, you will undertake daytime deliveries and collections across the UK, typically completing 2–5 deliveries per day, depending on peak times.

Key responsibilities include:

* Safely transporting and collecting cargo in accordance with transport regulations
 
* Completing daily deliveries efficiently and on schedule
 
* Conducting vehicle checks and reporting any defects or concerns
 
* Communicating effectively with the office team regarding delays or issues
 
* Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and professionalism

About you:

You will be an experienced HGV Driver with at least two years' driving experience, holding a valid HGV Class C+E licence.
You'll have excellent time management and communication skills, a strong commitment to road safety and compliance, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You must be reliable, professional and comfortable with approximately 11-hour working days and occasional Saturday work.
