About the RoleWe are seeking a Training Developer and Facilitator with experience in Indigenous tourism and cultural industries for a contract role. You will design and deliver career-readiness training and professional development programs for tourism service providers, artists, and cultural industry workers.
This role involves regular travel to communities across Nunavut. You must be adaptable, self-sufficient, and able to deliver high-quality training in diverse community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Develop curriculum and training materials for tourism providers, visual artists, musicians, sculptors, and performers
- Design and deliver hands‑on training workshops across communities
- Coordinate logistics with suppliers and venue providers for workshop delivery
- Administer participant registrations, fees, and travel arrangements
Develop public workshops on community-based tourism and cultural development - Deliver professional development programs for sector officers and practitioners
- Provide skills development for artists across multiple disciplines
- Facilitate community readiness training for local tourism service providers
- Experience in curriculum development and training delivery
- Experience with Indigenous tourism or cultural industries training
- Strong facilitation skills with diverse audiences in remote and community settings
- Experience managing travel and logistics for multi-community programs
- Ability to work independently, adapt to community contexts, and meet tight timelines
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across Nunavut communities
- Knowledge of Nunavut arts, cultural, and tourism sectors
- Degree or diploma in Education, Adult Learning, Tourism Management, Indigenous Studies, or related field
- Proficiency in Inuktitut or Inuinnaqtun
