Early Childhood Officer

This role focuses on delivering essential early childhood programs across Nunavut. As a key team member, you will oversee licensing and support to maintain high standards in childcare. Collaborate with the Manager of Early Childhood Development to enhance the availability and affordability of these vital programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver early childhood programs targeting children from birth to age twelve

• Inspect and license early childhood programs for quality assurance

• Provide guidance and support to childcare providers

• Collaborate with the Manager on improving childcare access

• Identify opportunities to enhance program affordability

Requirements:

• Must be a resident of Iqaluit

• Experience in early childhood education or related field

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders

• Commitment to the improvement of early childhood services in Nunavut
