As the Makerspace Lead, you will be responsible for running a welcoming and organized STEAM space that serves both youth and adult learners. This role encompasses coordinating immersive learning experiences, providing guidance to part-time staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and programming. You'll also have the opportunity to explore trends in creative learning environments to enrich Ampere’s offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and coordinate in-person and virtual STEAM programs
• Foster a positive, collaborative atmosphere for staff and participants
• Maintain the Makerspace and its equipment in optimal condition
• Create engaging learning experiences that connect to the community
• Document successful programming through photos and feedback data
Requirements:
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience building community relationships
• Passion for engaging learners of all ages
• Ability to work in-person at Iqaluit Makerspace
Drive innovation in STEAM education and make an impact in the Iqaluit community with Ampere.
