The Iqaluit Fire Department is establishing a Firefighter Eligibility Pool for qualified candidates interested in fire and emergency response. This role demands expertise in fire suppression technologies and emergency medical training. Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to fire and rescue emergencies promptly
• Provide pre-hospital emergency medical care
• Conduct fire prevention and public education initiatives
• Maintain apparatus and small equipment effectively
• Dispatch appropriate emergency responses when needed
Requirements:
• Emergency Medical Responder Certification
• NFPA 1001 Firefighter Level I & II
• Valid Class 3 Driver's License with air brake endorsement
• CPR BLS certification
• Clean Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Record Check
