- In-depth knowledge of database management, performance tuning, and high availability configurations for SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Active Directory management, Group Policy administration, and Windows Server management.
- Proficiency with automation and scripting tools (Power Shell, Bash, etc.) for system and database administration.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on resolving performance and system issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as work on individual tasks
- Excellent writing and documentation skills
- High level of organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator or Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) in Oracle Database Administration.
- Additional certifications such as Microsoft Certified:
Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate, or certifications in Active Directory / Azure Entra (formerly Azure AD) management are highly desirable. - Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases.
- Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory environments, Group Policy, and Windows Server configurations.
- Solid experience with system performance monitoring, database optimization, and security management.
- Hands‑on experience in database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience with cloud‑based database management (Azure) and hybrid infrastructure environments.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Nutanix.
- Experience with database replication, clustering, and other high‑availability setups.
- Knowledge of security best practices, including database and network security.
