- Overall planning, scheduling and assignment of project tasks associated with the management and implementation of all major GN outside and inside multi-mode fiber which involves telecommunications, facilities, data centers and related equipment used in support of these functional areas.
- Assembling and leading a Project Team that may consist of internal department members, client department members and third-party vendors.
- Work closely with resource managers to set clear expectations and roles for project team members
- Ensure the delivery of information technology projects meeting scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

- Delivering Quality and Satisfaction through constant communication with project stakeholders
- Manage project issues and Risk
- Reviewing status of deliverables and recommending approval of the deliverables
- Developing project work performance data and reports for distribution to all stakeholders
- Minimum 3-5+ years of strong overall experience in managing the installation and maintenance of outside and inside single and multi-mode fiber optic cabling projects.
- Excellent planning and organization skills, understanding of, and ability to utilize UML notation, a demonstrated understanding of network and communication technologies including WAN, LAN and emerging technologies, ability to work well within a team and as a team leader ability to document and respond to changes as they occur, enhanced knowledge and experience using MS Project, understanding of GN contract procedures.
- Belden and fiber installer certification is an asset. Red Seal in Electrical is an asset
- Ability to translate organization vision into a project vision
- Excellent Planning and organization skills
- Ability to keep project moving toward successful completion in face of aggressive schedules and discouraging developments
- Ability to provide information regarding tasks, plans, schedule, project milestones and deliverables to stakeholders on a regular basis
- A demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary and multicultural team and as a team leader
- Knowledge of fundamental project management processes, methodologies, tools & techniques, and ability to adapt them to the GN
- Understanding of, and ability to utilize, UML notation
- The ability to adapt and deal with situations and manage everyone's expectations through ongoing changes on the project as they occur
- Have clear oral, written, nonverbal and effective interpersonal communication skills appropriate to all levels of management and clients
- Understanding of the GN contract procedures
- Ability to earn trust and respect from project's stakeholders
- Solid understanding of network and communication technologies including WAN, LAN and emerging technologies
- Well balanced understanding of business relationships, business requirements, IT requirements and technical solutions
- Experience in the effective utilization of team members to complement and support each other
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Knowledge and experience in using MS Project and applications that help carry out day-to-day project tasks; including but not limited to MS Office suite
