The Government of Nunavut is seeking an Information Officer Analyst specializing in Economics to join their Bureau of Statistics. This role involves producing statistical publications and responding to inquiries. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in analyzing economic data and a strong understanding of statistical frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review daily and monthly statistics from various sources
• Prepare briefing notes and executive summaries for key indicators
• Distribute official statistical releases and media updates
• Respond to inquiries from government and the public
• Conduct research and execute statistical projects
Requirements:
• University degree in Statistics, Economics, or a related field
• Two years of experience in a research capacity
• Knowledge of Inuit culture and communities considered an asset
• Fluency in Nunavut’s official languages is beneficial
• Acceptable combinations of education and experience may apply
