As a Medical Clerk Interpreter under the Nurse Manager for Inpatient Services, you will perform clerical tasks while delivering essential interpretation services.

Your role is vital for ensuring effective dialogue between patients and healthcare staff during clinical interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication among patients, nurses, and doctors

• Manage clerical tasks to support the clinical team

• Assist radiology and laboratory staff in patient communications

• Work on a rotating shift basis, covering days and nights

• Provide support for families during hospital visits

Requirements:

• Bilingual in Inuktitut and English, both written and spoken

• Experience in clerical or administrative settings

• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends

• Strong detail orientation and organizational skills

• Must reside in Iqaluit for eligibility
