Join the RCCDSB team as a Casual Caretaker, focused on cleaning and maintaining a smoke-free environment across various schools. This position offers valuable experience in facilities management and ensures pupils' safety.

Working under Plant Services, this role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, maintenance duties, and safety inspections across 20 schools and 2 administration buildings. You'll be responsible for maintaining standards of cleanliness, grounds upkeep, and proactive safety management while fostering an inclusive work atmosphere that values diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain school facilities to ensure standards

• Perform documented checks on fire extinguishers

• Handle weather-related grounds maintenance tasks

• Safeguard the premises against unauthorized access

• Observe, report, and act on safety concerns promptly

Requirements:

• Minimum one year in institutional janitorial roles

• Capable of lifting 25 lbs or more

• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written

• Familiarity with basic maintenance systems and procedures

• Effective in managing multiple tasks efficiently
