Senior Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Manage a distributed network intrusion detection system
• Perform supervised penetration tests as required by the GN
• Provide input on the development of GN security policies
• Provide support for ATIPP (Access to Information and Privacy Protection) searches in accordance with GN procedures
• Create technical documentations, along with editing and testing vendor provided documentation
• Provide expertise on identified IPS projects relating to the GN security infrastructure
• Contribute to the post mortem analysis of GN security incidents
• Provide recommendations to improve and enhance the GN security environment both technically and procedurally.
• Provide mentorship to GN Staff including various client departments.

• Degree in Computer Science or IT related diploma/degree
• 3-5+ years of experience in the below mentioned responsibilities
• Related Industry Certifications and standards for example CISSP
• Must possess GOC issued Secret clearance
• Strong intrusion analysis skills
• Knowledge of multi operating systems, for example, Windows and Linux
• Experience in designing and implementing various encryption standards
• Experience in writing security policies
• Excellent writing and documentation skills
• High level of organizational skills
• Ability to interpret legislative or legal policies as they relate to IT security
