Join Nunatta campus as a Security Officer in Iqaluit, focusing on maintaining safety for all students and staff. Responsibilities include visitor management and monitoring campus security.

This role, supervised by the Manager of Security and Facility Maintenance, requires you to foster a secure atmosphere within campus buildings. Key tasks involve greeting visitors, ensuring all fire safety protocols are observed, and patrolling to deter security risks. You'll assist with room inspections and be on call for urgent safety issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor entrances and control access across campus

• Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety compliance

• Help with fire safety inspections and evacuation planning

• Address resident safety calls promptly

• Document and report incidents for follow-up

Requirements:

• High school Grade 10 or equivalent

• At least 1 year of security experience

• Class 4 driver’s license must be obtained shortly after hire

• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check required for position
