Airport Security Screening Officer

Contribute to national security as a Pre-Board Screening Officer with Garda World in Iqaluit, Nunavit. Play an essential role in ensuring safe travel for the public.

In this vital position, you'll focus on maintaining airport security by screening passengers and their belongings, ensuring non-permitted items are prevented from entering secure areas. You will also control access to restricted zones, respond to alarms, and report any suspicious activities as part of emergency operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen travelers and their possessions thoroughly

• Prevent non-permitted items from entering secure areas

• Control access to restricted locations

• Respond to alarms and report any violations

• Participate in airport emergency operations

Requirements:

• Must be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident

• High school diploma or equivalent needed

• Clean criminal record, eligible for RAIC

• Minimum age of 18 years required

• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
