As part of the Representative for Children and Youth's Office, your responsibilities will center on ensuring that services meet the rights and needs of youth in Nunavut. You will be engaged in both individual and systemic advocacy and play a critical role in reviewing significant cases and public outreach to promote awareness and education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and investigate systemic issues affecting children's services
• Provide advocacy for families navigating government programs
• Conduct reviews of critical injuries and deaths
• Promote awareness through educational outreach
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders for improvement
Requirements:
• Experience in research or systemic advocacy
• Knowledge of child protection laws and policies
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Understanding of diverse cultural practices in Nunavut
• Passion for promoting children's rights
