Wilson's Hospital School, a leading boarding school, is seeking an experienced Rugby Coach to join our pastoral and sports team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deliver, and lead high-quality rugby training programmes, skills development sessions, and performance pathways for boarding students across age groups.
- Provide specialist coaching in technical skills, tactical awareness, conditioning, and player development, aligned with IRFU/World Rugby standards.
- Act as a Boarding Mentor, supporting the personal, social, and academic development of students in a residential setting, including evening and weekend supervision duties.
- Contribute to the school’s overall sports strategy, match-day management, and talent identification initiatives.
- Mentor students on leadership, teamwork, and well-being through the sport of rugby.
Position Requirements
Tech School,
1+ Years
work experience Essential Requirements:
- Minimum IRFU/World Rugby Level 2 (or equivalent international) coaching qualification, with 3+ years’ proven coaching experience in competitive rugby environments.
- Strong background in youth/teenage player development and performance analysis.
- Experience in a residential/boarding or pastoral care environment (preferred).
- Relevant third-level qualification in sports coaching, physical education, or sports science is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for student development.
