Temporary Junior Accountant at ADL

Join Amalgamated Dairies Limited as a Temporary Junior Accountant in Summerside, PE. This full-time role focuses on journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial records.

ADL is seeking a Junior Accountant for a 15-month term to support the Finance team at Water St. You will report directly to the Corporate Controller, handling various accounting tasks that include preparing month-end working papers and assisting with vendor invoice processing. This position provides valuable exposure to core accounting functions within the dairy manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Post journal entries for accruals, deferrals, and adjustments

• Prepare month-end reconciliations and working papers

• Summarize daily bank transactions with documentation

• Support reporting and analysis for milk intake processes

• Code vendor invoices for Accounts Payable processing

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting or Business required

• 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficient in MS Excel; accounting software knowledge is a plus

• Good communication and analytical skills
