Assistant Varsity Soccer Coach

Located in the northwest suburbs of Columbia, South Carolina, the district encompasses the areas of Irmo and Chapin and operates a total of 22 schools, including four high schools and specialized programs like the Center for Advanced Technical Studies.

The district serves a vibrant and growing community in northern Lexington County and northwestern Richland County.

This is a contract position for an on‑site Assistant Varsity Soccer Coach in Irmo, SC. The Assistant Varsity Soccer Coach will work closely with the head coach in developing and implementing practice plans, game strategies, and skill‑building sessions for the team. Responsibilities include coaching players, managing equipment, fostering a positive team environment, and ensuring players adhere to academic and behavioral standards.

The coach will play an integral role in motivating athletes and promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and athletic development.

• Effective communication skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate student‑athletes
• Experience and knowledge in coaching and guiding players of varying skill levels
• An understanding of education principles to support athletes in their academic responsibilities
• Familiarity with video analysis is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to organize and manage practices, games, and team‑related logistics
• A passion for mentorship and the development of young athletes
