Executive Director, Aldersgate Special Needs Ministry

OVERVIEW:

Under the guidance and direction of the Board of Trustees, the executive director provides for the overall management and daily operation of ASNM and serves as the face of the organization. The director should inspire others and promote a Christian environment in the residential homes and among staff and families of residents. The position is based in Irmo, SC.

DUTIES:

I. Management

Manage programs and services of ASNM, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Develop and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring they align with legal requirements and organizational rules; review annually.

Conduct staff meetings and promote teamwork.

Attend Board meetings, provide reports, and implement directives.

II. Personnel and Supervision

Supervise lead staff through conferences, meetings, observations, and evaluations.

Ensure personnel actions comply with laws.

Recommend staff compensation and benefits to the Board.

Recruit, hire, and oversee staff training and development.

III. Communications and Public Relations

Maintain professional communication and public information efforts.

Promote ASNM through media, presentations, and outreach.

Develop informational materials and maintain donor databases.

IV. Planning and Development

Oversee growth and development with the Board.

Coordinate with other agencies serving persons with disabilities.

Stay informed on funding programs and prepare grant requests.

Evaluate and modify programs as needed.

V. Financial and Budgetary Oversight

Manage finances, prepare reports, and coordinate audits.

Develop annual budgets and monitor expenses.

Oversee fee structures and revenue collection.

Lead fundraising efforts.

Educational Requirements:

A master's degree in relevant fields with at least four years of management experience, or a bachelor's degree with six years of experience. Degrees must be from accredited institutions.

Other Requirements:

Knowledge of SC Medicaid and disability services.
Experience in managing programs for persons with disabilities.
Effective communication skills.
Leadership and visionary skills.
Valid driver's license and transportation access.
Respect for cultural diversity.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of federal and state laws related to residential homes, with the ability to implement them.
