Job Summary:

System Clinical Staff Educator is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing education offerings for employees in the inpatient and outpatient settings that correlate with the mission, vision, policies, and key initiatives. The primary responsibility is to enhance through education the performance of those who serve our patients and customers.

• Education
  Minimum:
  Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing. Individuals with an associate degree in nursing must obtain a bachelor’s degree nursing within three years of hire date.
  Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Experience
  Minimum:
  Three years clinical experience, including acute and/or ambulatory care setting.
  Preferred:
  Two years nursing experience in acute and/or ambulatory care; experience in an academic or instructional setting.
• Certifications / Licenses
  Minimum:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association), Crisis Prevention Institute certification within one year of hire;
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Instructor certification as needed;
  Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license;
  Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or Nurse Compact License if not held at hire.
• Preferred:
  None

Position home base: MMC Dickinson. Travel expected as system educator to support training needs.
