Overview

The Outside Sales Representative (“OSR”) will regularly sell products and services offered by 84 Lumber to current and new clients away from 84 Lumber stores and other locations. This role involves maintaining positive customer relationships, identifying new potential customers, and achieving sales goals at acceptable margins.

Responsibilities

Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads.

Communicates with customers and leads to understand their needs; suggests suitable products and services.

Demonstrates product functions and utility based on customer needs.

Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and resolves post-sale issues.

Maintains communication with existing and previous customers about new products and services.

Maintains detailed reports of sales activities, including calls, orders, and customer issues.

Provides periodic sales forecasts for the territory.

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Strong sales and negotiation skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to perform well in a high-paced, stressful environment.

Ability to read prints.

Experience creating material estimates.
