Supervisor Production – DS 1B

Vertiv is hiring a first‑shift Production Supervisor in Ironton, Ohio. The supervisor will coach associates, lead the production line to exceed KPIs in safety, quality, production, VOS, and other key metrics, and set improvement goals, reporting regularly to the operations manager.

• Supervises and coaches individuals and teams to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of work.
• Monitors performance and encourages and facilitates implementation of improvements.
• Provides direction, support, and resources to individuals and teams.
• Coaches for improvements and recognizes accomplishments.
• Supervises employees involved in manufacturing activities, including assigning, reviewing work, and evaluating performance.
• Supervises, delegates, and prioritizes workload. Implements procedures and conducts team meetings. Trains the team on policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Functions as a business partner driving process improvement and change initiatives.
• Ensures timely and accurate compliance with mandatory corporate training requirements (Ethics, Conflict of Interest, etc.).
• Defines and establishes key performance measurements to monitor training effectiveness and best practices.
• Establishes, maintains, and communicates required procedures to deliver effective and professional technical training.
• Conducts employee performance reviews and provides regular feedback.
• Promotes a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).
• Schedules and conducts meetings; fosters employee engagement and ensures business and operational goals are effectively communicated.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to develop and coach a diverse team.
• Self‑driven.
• Strong prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of ISO and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma.
• Availability for overtime as needed by the plant.

• May be required to lift 50 lbs.
• Light manufacturing duties.
• Stand or sit for extended periods.
• Use tools requiring manual dexterity.
• May be required to operate powered industrial equipment.
