Through Pure Cycle’s ground-breaking, patented recycling process, we separate color, odor, and contaminants from plastic waste to transform it into ultra-pure recycled resin. Role Overview
The entry level Sales Development Representative will handle assigned qualified sales leads and convert them into new business opportunities, while also managing customer accounts, developing new leads, communicating with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring a smooth sales process. Focuses on developing long term customer relationships. Use knowledge of the company’s offerings and understanding of client needs to close sales and maintain customer satisfaction.
Assesses customers’ needs and presents the features and benefits of product/service offerings to existing/new customers. Also engages in contract renewals, price negotiation, and volume discounts for customer retention and continued business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Identify potential customers through lead generation and qualifying these leads based on interest and purchasing ability.
- Understand customer needs and identify sales opportunities.
- Ensure all clients receive excellent service throughout the sales process.
- Create and deliver sales presentations tailored to the client’s needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the company’s products or services.
- Use strong communication skills to present and sell company products or services to potential clients.
- Research and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
- Reach out to customers via phone, email, and potentially social media.
- Meet or exceeding sales goals and reporting on sales progress.
- Handle customer complaints and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate with the outside sales team and other team members to achieve company sales targets.
- Maintain a customer database and documenting all customer interactions and transactions.
- Communicate with customers, making outbound calls to potential clients, and following up on leads.
- Answer potential clients’ questions and send additional information per email.
- Keep an updated customer database (track progress, notes, etc).
- Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs.
- Close sales and lead customer through the purchasing process.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- BS degree required. Engineering, science, or degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in polymer, plastics manufacturing, or in related field preferred.
- Ability to apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through education and work experience.
- Works independently with close general supervision.
- Ability to actively and skillfully analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information, ideas, arguments or understand problems when the solution is not clear, in order to solve problems, make decisions, and draw conclusions or make recommendations using evidence-based reasoning.
- May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
- Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with clients while adhering to the company’s sales policies and procedures.
- Strong negotiation skills or aptitude.
- Proficiency in MS Office. Proficiency in CRM software preferred.
