Location: Irvine
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Working Hours: 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-3:30pm Friday
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Work Arrangement: On-site
About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Client's Operations Team at their Irvine site.
This is an exciting temporary-to-permanent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and has excellent communication and customer service skills.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day logistics operation, coordinating requirements across the team and ensuring customers and internal stakeholders receive a high level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support day-to-day logistics planning and operational requirements.
- Communicate confidently with customers, team members and Business Development Managers (BDMs).
- Interpret operational requirements and ensure appropriate logistics arrangements are put in place.
- Use internal systems and logistics tools to support planning and coordination.
- Maintain accurate information using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Provide effective administrative and operational support to the Service Delivery/Operations Team.
- Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Is confident communicating with customers and colleagues over the telephone.
- Can understand and interpret operational requirements effectively.
- Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Has good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Has an interest in or previous experience within logistics planning or operations.
- Ideally has an understanding of 3.5-tonne and 7.5-tonne vehicle payloads.
- Is a reliable team player with a positive and professional approach.
