PositionStaff Nurse based at Redburn Rehabilitation Ward, Ayrshire Central Hospital. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Hours16 hours per week. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full‑time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro‑ratio for part‑time staff) without loss of earnings.
What You Will DoAs an NMC registered nurse you will be part of the nursing team providing a high standard of person‑centred care within the busy 20‑bedbed Stroke rehabilitation ward. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with time management, are essential. You will work effectively with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring evidence‑based practice and the highest level of care. You will have a key role in providing safe, effective person‑centred care at all times.
Knowledge,Training And/or Experience Required For This Post
- Registered nurse with current NMC registration
- Working knowledge of Ayrshire & Arran’s Policies and Procedures
- Ability to keep relevant skills/knowledge updated and documented
- Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to supervise and provide mentorship to students and junior staff
