Job Location: ASDA - Irvine
Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour
Job Overview- Protect our customer's property, people, and assets by providing security services in accordance with the site's published Assignment Instructions (AI) and any subsequent changes.
- Deliver results that meet or exceed key performance indicators/service level agreements through full responsibility and accountability, aiding in contract retention.
- Undertake additional training for continuous self‑development.
- Be aware of and ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements as directed by the Security Account Manager and in accordance with UK law and guidance bodies.
- Fully complete all tasks and duties on site as defined within the published Assignment Instructions.
- Proactively review and suggest amendments to the Assignment Instructions to improve service levels.
- Maintain compliance with industry and statutory legislation, obtaining a front‑line licence in Security Guarding or Door Supervision, and CCTV PSS SIA Licence, and additional contract courses.
- Comply with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role.
- Follow instructions and procedures appropriately without unnecessarily challenging authority.
- Work systematically, methodologically, and orderly.
- Complete all required competency training.
- Undertake additional training for continuous development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
- Use technology to achieve key work objectives and develop job knowledge.
- Renew licence 16 weeks before expiry.
- Identify and report any health & safety hazards or potential hazards on site.
- Stay alert to threats or changes in the environment and take appropriate actions to reduce risk of disruption, loss, or damage.
- Use common sense and initiative; involve others when a situation appears threatening.
- Maintain professional conduct with difficult situations and challenging customers.
- Complete accurate, detailed notebook entries after any incident for incident reporting.
- Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the client.
- Ensure check calls are carried out at the allocated time slot per Assignment Instructions.
- Call emergency services and the Communication Centre to report all incidents.
- Previous security experience.
- Valid SIA licence.
- SC clearance desirable.
