This position will become an integral member of Viant’s Accounting team, responsible for supervising day-to-day general ledger, accounts payable and accrual related activities, while collaborating closely with other Finance & Accounting team members. This role will assist the Accounting Manager and Accounting Senior Manager with certain aspects of the financial close process, internal and external audit requests, and other exciting financial process improvement projects.

    This is a supervisory role that comes with the opportunity to supervise staff with varying levels of skillsets.

    Responsibilities:
    • Supervise team of three including training and developing of team members
    • Preparation of the internal and external financial reports, including flux and variance analysis
    • Work closely with the Accounting Manager and Internal Audit team to develop and maintain appropriate internal controls over all aspects of accounting transaction processing and reporting
    • Ensure US GAAP, SOX compliance and Company specific policies and procedures are consistently followed
    • Oversee Concur invoice, purchasing, and expense processes and related financial reporting inclusive of process improvement initiatives and special projects
    • Drive strategy around the integration of newly acquired third party partners and new product offerings into the Company's vendor acceptance process
    • Oversee the proper closing of the AP subledger during the month-end close process
    • Assist with building and developing cash planning models and corresponding DPO and DSO forecasting and reporting
    • Produce recurring reporting tied to cash analysis and working capital analytics (aging analysis, DPO, cash burn, etc.)
    • Prepare and review support provided to internal and external auditors
    • Recurring journal entry and balance sheet reconciliation review as prepared by other team members
    • Work cross-functionally with other teams such as Operations to streamline accounting processes, as directed
    • Assist with special projects, as needed
    • Coordinate and collaborate efficiently and effectively with the other Accounting Supervisor and Managers within the Accounting organization
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
    • 4+ years relevant accounting experience and experience working in a supervisory role
    • Big 4/regional firm audit/assurance experience and/or publicly traded company work experience is a plus
    • Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements and recommendations
    • SOX framework experience is a plus
    • Strong attention to detail and high-level of accuracy
    • Strong oral/verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    • Able to manage extremely sensitive information requiring the utmost discretion and confidentiality
    • Excellent IT skills: experience with ERP systems/Accounting software and intermediate Excel skills required
