Compensation: $145,000 - $155,000 + Bonus

Our Software client is searching for a motivated Senior Accounting Manager to partner with the CFO and manage a small accounting team. This individual will oversee day-to-day GL Accounting, manage the monthly close process, and lead the annual audit process. This candidate must have experience with revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, preferably in the Software industry, but not a must.

- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close activities including balance sheet reconciliation, financial analysis, and trial balance review.
- Oversee and support General Accounting, Fixed Assets and Payroll teams with dynamic leadership creating an environment of trust, high performance, and productivity.
- Collaborate with functional leadership to proactively explain results, make improvements, manage projects, identify inefficiencies, understand operations, and lead the development of complex analysis to drive business decision making.
- Lead and oversee revenue recognition processes in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review, identification of performance obligations, transaction price allocation, and timing of revenue recognition.
- Manage and document revenue recognition policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and audit readiness under ASC 606.
- Manage the quarterly and annual audit processes by working closely with external audit firms, providing supporting documentation and addressing requests and issues.
- Perform various complex account analyses and reconciliation.
- Prepare accounting and reporting disclosure checklists and ensure that required accounting and GAAP disclosures are met.
- Support financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting issues as they arise and lead special or ad‑hoc projects and transactions, as needed.
- Support ad hoc analysis and support on special projects, as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field
- Revenue Recognition experience is required.
- Industry experience in Software or SaaS is preferred.
- Public Accounting upbringing is preferred.
- Collaborative, innovative, flexible, and adept at building relationships across the organization
- ERP Experience such as Net Suite, MS Dynamics 365, Sage 300, Acumatica, SAP, Oracle, Workday, MS Business Central, JD Edwards, MS Dynamics GP or Intacct all deemed good.
