About the Company

We are partnering with a late-stage biotechnology company approaching a critical inflection point as it continues to advance its clinical programs and prepare for long-term scale. The organization operates in a highly regulated environment and is building out its accounting and finance infrastructure to support growth, accuracy, and operational rigor.

The Opportunity

The company is seeking an Accounting Operations professional to support core accounting functions and play a meaningful role across monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys operational ownership and thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.

You will work closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional partners to ensure strong controls, clean closes, and scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities

Own and support Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution

Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations

Support expense reporting and corporate credit card programs

Maintain accurate documentation and internal controls in a regulated environment

Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, procurement, and operations teams

Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and systems as the organization scales

Ideal Background

3–7+ years of accounting experience, ideally within biotech, life sciences, pharma, or other regulated industries

Strong hands-on experience with:

Accounts Payable

Accruals

Month-end / quarter-end / year-end close

Experience supporting a high-growth or pre-commercial organization strongly preferred

ERP exposure (Net Suite or similar preferred)

Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable operating in lean environments

CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus, but not required
