Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Admin for a contract/temporary opportunity in Irvine, CA. This 3 to 6 month assignment will support a busy construction accounting team with administrative, data entry, AP/AR documentation, and recordkeeping tasks.

This is a great opportunity for an organized accounting or administrative professional who enjoys keeping information accurate, following up on outstanding documents, and helping a team get caught up in a fast-paced environment. The Accounting Admin will work closely with accounting professionals who value accuracy, follow-through, teamwork, and dependable support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the construction accounting team.
  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized accounting records.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable documentation and related follow-up.
  • Contact vendors, subcontractors, and other parties to obtain required documents and releases.
  • Track outstanding items, review documents for completeness, and maintain electronic and physical files.
  • Support the accounting team with backlogged work and other assigned administrative accounting tasks.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $47,840 to $58,240 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Support accounting operations through data entry, documentation, filing, and record maintenance.
  • Assist with AP/AR-related tasks, vendor follow-up, subcontractor documentation, and document tracking.
  • Review accounting documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Help the accounting team organize and complete backlogged administrative work.
  • Minimum 6 months of accounting or related administrative experience.
  • Previous exposure to Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable preferred.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong data entry, organization, and document management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to follow up consistently and manage outstanding items through completion.
  • Comfortable working with confidential financial information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a busy environment.
  • Strong communication, follow-through, and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Construction accounting experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Procore is a plus.
  • Experience with Miter is a plus.
