We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused B2B Sales Operations Assistant Manager to support and optimize our national account sales operations.
This role will serve as a key bridge between Sales, Operations, Finance, and Brand partners to ensure seamless execution across major retail accounts.
The ideal candidate brings strong retail operational knowledge, data-driven decision-making skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional processes in a fast-paced distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support strategic retail accounts (e.g., Costco, Ulta, Target, Nordstrom)
- Oversee purchase order tracking, allocation, and fulfillment coordination
- Monitor sell-in, sell-through, and inventory health across accounts
- Support line reviews, seasonal programs, and promotional execution
- Coordinate new item setup, SKU onboarding, and retailer compliance requirements
- Assist in demand forecasting and replenishment planning
- Work closely with supply chain to optimize inventory levels
- Identify potential stock risks or overstock situations
- Support pricing adjustments, promotional forecasting, and margin analysis
- Monitor retailer deductions, chargebacks, and claims
- Coordinate with Finance to reconcile invoices and AR
- Track trade spend, co-op programs, and promotional investments
- Analyze gross margin performance by account and SKU
- Prepare weekly/monthly business performance reports
- Analyze trends and provide insights to senior leadership
- Track KPI performance (sales growth, IMU, inventory turns, margin)
- Support executive presentations and retailer business reviews
- Coordinate with Brand partners on pricing, packaging, and product changes
- Partner with Marketing on retail activations and in-store programs
- Improve internal operational workflows and reporting systems
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales operations, wholesale, or retail management
- Experience working with major national retailers strongly preferred
- Strong Excel proficiency (advanced functions, pivot tables required)
- ERP experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple high-volume accounts simultaneously
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
- Preferred Industry Experience
- Beauty, cosmetics, or CPG distribution
- Experience with retail programs (TPD, co-op, IMU, promotional planning)
- Knowledge of retailer compliance, chargebacks, and deduction processes
- Understanding of margin analysis and working capital impact
- Annual Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
This position may also be eligible for performance-based bonus compensation. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
