Project Manager – Healthcare and Commercial Construction
Location: Various locations in Southern California (e.g., Irvine, Orange, etc.) – specific location to be confirmed during interview.
Base pay range: $ – $ per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
About the role: We are a top commercial general contractor specializing in tenant improvements, ground‑up construction, and retrofits, with a strong focus on healthcare, education, life science, corporate office, and other sectors. The Project Manager will oversee complex healthcare and commercial construction projects from inception to completion, managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery within budget.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from conception to completion.
- Review and interpret project design documents, specifications, and architectural drawings.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project goals are met.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Ensure projects comply with all building and safety codes, as well as legal requirements.
- Effectively communicate project expectations and progress to team members and stakeholders.
- Manage and mitigate project risks and issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Foster a safety‑first culture by ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are followed.
- Lead project meetings, providing clear and concise updates to all stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, specifically in healthcare and commercial construction.
- Proficient with OSHPD/HCAI, MEP, Retrofit, Seismic Retrofit, Renovations, Expansions, Tenant Improvements (TI), Sterile Processing Plant, PACU, OR, MRI, CT, and related healthcare facility requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering construction projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of construction laws and regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
