Payment Specialist - Collections Department
Pay: $22/hour
Location: Irvine, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Saturday Requirement: One Saturday per month (4‑hour shift). In return, leave early one weekday for flexibility.
What You'll Do- Make 150-200 outbound calls per day to students who are 60+ days past due on payments
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements
- Use skip tracing tools (e.g., ) to locate students
- Convert marketing leads into payment plans within 30 days
- Work in a fast‑paced, metric‑driven environment using a dialer system
- 6 months–1 year experience in high‑volume outbound calling (150-200 calls/day)
- Experience in collections, sales, or a call center (only if sales support was part of the role)
- Experience in negotiations
- Ability to type 60 WPM
- Comfortable with performance metrics
- Assertive, resilient, and confident when asking for payments
- Computer literate and quick to learn systems
