Architectural Planner – DAHLIN Architecture | Planning | Interiors
Are you a technically skilled, design‑driven planning professional who is looking for their next opportunity? At DAHLIN we believe that great design starts with great planning. We are seeking a Planner to join our team in Irvine, CA. Under general supervision of a senior project team member, the Planner will develop design or technical solutions within a professional planning team and will also assist other project teams as directed.
This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite at our Irvine office.
- Assist in reviewing small projects or designated portions of larger projects, including conducting field evaluations and assessments.
- Support design layout efforts, including researching, compiling information, drafting, and creating graphic packages for assigned projects.
- Assist in evaluating re‑zonings, ordinance amendments, site plans, special use permits, variances, and other development proposals.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and independent thinking with strong listening skills and reliable follow‑through.
- Strong verbal, written, and graphic communication skills, along with solid organizational and collaborative abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A clear commitment to ongoing professional growth as a designer, architect, or planner.
- Graduate of a NAAB‑accredited four‑ or five‑year planning/architecture program or a Planning/Urban Design program.
- Strong skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up modeling, Adobe Photoshop, and the preparation of presentation materials.
- 2–3 years of experience in architectural planning and/or urban design.
- Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions; visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
A competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. Salary range: $74,000 to $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; pre‑tax Flexible Spending plans for medical, childcare, and commuter expenses;
