Salary range: Total Negotiated Salary (TNS) calculation includes AAMC salary benchmarks for Infectious Disease (MD) ranging from $225,519 – 327,533. The posted UC salary scales set the base pay determined by rank and/or step s position includes membership in the health science compensation plan , which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position Description
The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine is seeking candidates with expertise and experience in Transplant Infectious Diseases for a faculty position in the Health Sciences Clinical series at the level of Assistant Professor or above. Responsibilities include in-patient and out-patient clinical service at the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange and at the new UC Irvine hospital in Irvine.
The position is primarily clinical with opportunities for teaching and scholarly activity.
Minimum requirements include an MD or equivalent degree, board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases, additional training in transplant infectious diseases, and eligibility to obtain an active medical practice license in the State of California. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, an individual must possess the following qualifications:
- have an MD or equivalent
- be board certified or eligible in Infectious Diseases
- at least one year of training or experience in transplant infectious diseases
- hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the state of California
