Position Description

The University of California, Irvine (UCI) Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking skilled physician educators passionate about advancing clinical care, education, and research in a high-volume clinical/academic setting. Positions are available in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series, at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.

Candidates must possess a DO, MD, or MD/PhD, and be board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine. California DEA registration, Medical License, and UCIMC staff credentials are required. Strong interest and abilities in patient care, teaching, and service are necessary. Advanced degrees or fellowships are preferred.

The incumbent will primarily provide patient care at the UCI Health Medical Center in Irvine, with coverage in other UCI locations as needed; teach learners; contribute to scholarly activities; and provide public and university service. Rank and salary depend on experience and qualifications. Positions are contingent upon funding.
