Overview
We are looking to hire an experienced Science Instructor to be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to enhance students' mathematical proficiency. Your expertise will be vital in creating engaging and innovative mathematics curricula, promoting problem-solving skills, and supporting students' academic growth. Science subjects include:
High School Biology, Chemistry, and Physics up to AP Levels. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Science Instructor to make a positive impact on our students and their learning goals. This is a Flexible, Part-Time opportunity.
- Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive lesson plans.
- Demonstrate adaptability in teaching both one‑on‑one and in small group settings.
- Assess students’ progress through regular evaluations, including tests, assignments, and participation, and provide constructive feedback to the students.
- Communicate regularly with Masterprep Admin and Staff on student progress.
- Prepare students for the AP exam.
- Provide homework help as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or any related field (required).
- Master’s degree in Science or related field from an accredited college or university (preferred).
- 1 year experience as a Science instructor or tutor (required).
- Successful track record of developing student’s knowledge in learning Science (required).
- Professional communication skills (both spoken and written).
- Competent in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Able to work independently and collaborate with a team.
- Enthusiastic about working with students and parents.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented (attention to detail and accuracy are imperative).
- Ability to meet schedules and deadlines.
- Good judgment and decision‑making abilities.
- Good problem‑solving skills.
- Good planning skills.
- Highly responsive.
- Highly proactive.
- Highly reliable.
- Integrity.
Possible shifts are between M-F 3pm - 8pm and Saturday 9am - 5pm.
